Wound Care

The Wound Care Service, or Tissue Viability Service, provides comprehensive support for non-healing or slow-healing wounds. Our specialist nurses offer expertise in treating a variety of wounds, including trauma, surgical, leg ulcers, and pressure ulcers.

Our service can provide a comprehensive assessment if you have a non-healing or a complicated wound that requires advanced wound therapy treatments. An assessment can take place in your home, with your practice nurse.

After your assessment, a treatment plan will be drawn up and shared with your practice nurse or community nurse, who will then undertake the care. Depending on this plan, we may arrange to visit you to review the care to ensure that the wound is healing as expected.
